Joining Us

SENSE is the original network of professional nutrition consultants who work on a self-employed basis. We aim to help and promote self-help for all self-employed or freelance nutrition professionals. Established in 1996 by Dr Margaret Ashwell for Self Employed Nutritionists’ Support and Enlightenment (SENSE).

Membership is open to nutritionists with a degree accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and eligible to register, registered or previously registered with AfN as a registered nutritionist (RNutr) or associate nutritionist (ANutr); or registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian (RD). Equivalent experience of evidence-based science will also be considered. Annual membership is £70.00.

Membership enables SENSE members to attend all meetings free of charge and entitles them to a personal entry within our searchable database of members, on our website. There are many more benefits for members of SENSE! For further details, see benefits of membership.

The membership year commences on 1st July and terminates on 30th June. Discounted membership may be possible if joining part way through the year – please get in touch to discuss, via our contact us.
